True to the decisions of the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, major universities push ahead with the work for developing new teaching methods, and thus many effective teaching methods have been introduced in the first half of the year.

Kim Il Sung University developed the effective teaching methods including one of combining a research task with teaching of optional subjects; Kim Chaek University of Technology developed the new teaching method conducive to improving the researching and creating abilities among students.

And the scientific and technical universities including Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry developed tens of research-way teaching and learning methods and introduced them into universities.

Kim Hyong Jik University of Education developed teaching methods for increasing teaching density and improving researching abilities of students in teaching the Korean economic geography.

Other teacher-training universities introduced dozens of new teaching methods.

Now the major universities intensify the research enthusiasm for developing new teaching methods.
