Coal mines across the DPRK are directing efforts to making preparations for putting coal production on a normal track even in the rainy season.
Coal mines under the Ministry of Coal Industry have provided more than 400 reserve cutting faces, installed and repaired hundreds of pumps and built more than 13 000 cubic meters of water sumps.
They also made it possible to put production on a normal basis even under unfavorable weather conditions by cleaning up hundreds of kilometers-long coal conveyance line and drainage canals of transport pits.
Coal mines under the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex and the Tukjang Area Coal Mining Complex have made secured reserve cutting faces and taken measures to ensure stable production in the rainy season.
Coal mines under the Kaechon Area Coal Mining Complex and other complexes are also striving to clean up drain canals and water sumps of pits, readjust pumping equipment and install pumps in new cutting faces.
