Working people in the field of metal industry, who fulfilled their plan for the first half of the year with the Chollima spirit in the new era, have vigorously started work in the second half of the year to carry out the tasks set forth at the 10th Plenum of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

In particular, the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, a grand base of the metallurgical industry in the northern part of the country, is seething with performing fresh innovation.

Now the intensive repairing of an energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace progresses apace under the detailed operation and command of its officials for attaining this year’s goals.

Officials and working people of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, too, are making energetic efforts to implement the ideas of the Party and uphold its policies.

They secure the necessary parts and accessories on their own and conduct in a responsible manner the equipment and technical management, while striving for increasing the operating time of the oxygen heat blast furnace and 100-ton UHP electric arc furnace by improving the operating methods of furnace and mechanizing various working processes.

The workers and technicians of the Posan Iron Works put continuous spurs to increasing the production of Samhwa iron in the high spirits as was displayed to fulfill their production plan for the first half of the year 10-odd days earlier than the set time.

Similar innovative successes have been also witnessed in various iron ore producers.
