The Hwangju Machine Factory has successively developed the underwater pumps of various uses whose capacities are improved.

After setting a goal to develop the underwater pumps with high demand among the coal mines and mines by their own efforts and technology, officials and working people of the factory propelled such work by the positive guidance and aid of an upper unit.

Scientists and technicians of the factory and relevant scientific research institute solved one by one the technical issues arising in making the development-and-creation-oriented underwater pump.

Ri Hyong Yon, section chief of the Natural Energy Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, undertook the designing for each part and accessory of the pumps and raised the workers and technicians’ technical skills through the technical study and consultative meetings and widened their insights.

Meanwhile, valuable research successes have been made for inventing the rational durable equipment, ensuring proper quality of steel and manufacturing new equipment.
