One Family

Rim Chang Ryong, a centenarian dwelling in Sonchang-dong, Waudo District of Nampho Municipality, has a large family-- his son and daughter; daughter-in-law and son-in-law; grandson and granddaughter; and great-grandchild.

However, that’s not all of his family.

He was visited by officials of the dong office on a Sunday.

Seeing those who frequently visited him to take good care of his life, he was very impressed with their kindness.

Then, there was a knocking at the door; a medical worker in charge of households called on him to check his health condition.

Among those who care him warm-heartedly are harmonious neighbors as well as officials of the district Party committee; and all of them are like members of his family.

For a Student

Hong Hye Yong, a veteran teacher of the Medicine Faculty No.2 at Phyongsong University of Medicine, has educated many students for 40 years.

One day a few months ago, she offered her dean of the faculty Ri Chol an opinion.

Informing him that a boarding student was ill, she volunteered to help his study. The dean of the faculty was impressed with her suggestion and supported her.

For a student, Hong went a long way and devoted her sincerity to the student.

An Kwang Chon, a pensioner dwelling in Rihwa-dong, Hoesang District of Hamhung City, and employees of the factory he once worked heard that story.

Then, they also looked after the student with parental affection.

The student’s mother, being touched by their good deeds, said that the best is the socialist system in which all the people live in harmony, helping each other.

Now the student studies hard with determination to repay the benevolent socialist system.
