A national sci-tech presentation and seminar in the field of fiber-paper industry took place at the Grand People’s Study House here from July 2 to 5.

Present there were officials, teachers, researchers, field technicians and graduate students of different units including the Paper Engineering Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry, Phyongbuk University of Technology, the Pyongyang Tobacco Paper Factory and the Anju 121 Paper Factory.

Submitted to the presentation were more than 100 papers conducive to the economic construction and the improvement of the people’s standard of living by putting the production of fiber and paper on a normal basis and through readjustment and reinforcement.

Some proposals were highly appreciated for their great practical significance in putting the fiber-paper industry on a Juche and modern basis.

The seminar discussed a reasonable plan for improving the quality of paper and achieving the sustainable development of the fiber-paper industry.
