Mind Linked with Sacred Place of Revolution

Many people in our country devote their sincerity to adorning the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Museum more wonderfully. Among those are officials and employees of the Ponghwa Chemical Factory.

The officials of the factory sat together to discuss an issue one day 10-odd years ago when they were conducting a vigorous production campaign to significantly celebrate the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

On the spot they were agreed on that they should add to the beauty of Mangyongdae, the sacred place of revolution, with flowers and trees tended by them as they have grown up under the care of the President.

As a result, a "garden for Mangyongdae" came into being; since then the officials and employees have grown lots of trees with sincerity in the garden to send to the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Site.

This year, too, they sent more than 2 000 saplings of various species of trees including spindle tree, dawn redwood and Magnolia obovata.

Thanks to such loyal persons who always keep in their minds Mangyongdae, more and more trees take root in Mangyongdae day by day.

With Ardent Loyalty for Dozens of Years

Early mornings many women are seen at the monument to the revolutionary activities associated with the Fork to Mangyongdae.

They are the women’s union members in Kallimgil-dong No.2 of Mangyongdae District who devote their pure sincerity to the caretaking of the monument with pride of living in the place near to Mangyongdae.

They always keep in their minds the monument to the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung who went to the Kangson Steel Plant (now Chollima Steel Complex) to meet its workers for building a new country above all after his triumphal return to the homeland liberated from Japan’s colonial rule, without visiting his birthplace Mangyongdae on the way. Therefore, they devote their pure conscience to the caretaking of the monument, rain or shine.

They have planted numberless fragrant flowers in spring and trees of good species in autumn to cover the area of the monument while taking care of the monument.

They still continue their moral and loyal doing with ardent yearning for President Kim Il Sung.
