More than six months have passed since the gigantic drive heralding the arrival of a new era of regional development to be specially recorded in the overall development of Korean-style socialism was launched.

In those days, thanks to the devoted efforts of the 124th regiments of the Korean People’s Army dispatched to different parts of the country, the construction sites of regional-industry factories in 20 cities and counties have changed their appearance beyond recognition, exceeding 80 percent in total project.

This reality is a fruition of the indomitable fighting spirit, creative mettle and patriotic spirit of officers of the KPA 124th regiments who make a breakthrough in the long-term goal of the regional development holding fast to heightening quality of construction as their main task.

Now the news of field guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un at the regional industrial factories under construction in Hamju County is greatly encouraging the service personnel of the KPA 124th regiments to build factories into structures of lasting value, to be impeccable even in the distant future.

The non-permanent command team of the Ministry of National Defence for implementing the regional development 20×10 policy has set the improvement of the quality of construction as an important policy requirement in keeping with the high enthusiasm of soldier-builders and organized and conducted operation and command in a scientific and fresh way to make the improvement of quality run through the whole process of construction.

Officials of the command team give priority to political and ideological work to convince the officers of the view that ensuring quality precisely means the speed of the project, while taking immediate measures for improving quality such as dovetailing processes and strengthening the quality inspection system.

The work for improving quality is being intensified with each passing day as the successes made in construction are expanded.

Commanding officers and soldier-builders of the KPA 124th regiment dispatched to Hamju County are taking the lead in improving the quality.

From the very first day of the construction, the commanding officers of the regiment conduct field guidance dynamically to fully ensure the quality of construction as required by the designing so that there are no slight defects in the structures to be left for the people’s wealth.

The KPA 124th regiments dispatched to Onchon and Jangphung counties are pushing ahead with the work in a methodological way, regarding the creation of model and generalization as an important way to thoroughly observe the requirements of technical regulations and methods of construction and raise the overall level of construction.

The regiments select model units according to the processes and conduct the work of showing them significantly, thus making sure that each unit sets a clear direction for improving the quality of construction ahead of the organization of work.

The officers and men of the KPA 124th regiments dispatched to Jaeryong and Tongsin counties are also in high spirits.

Soldier-builders of the KPA 124th regiments dispatched to Sukchon, Unchon counties and other cities and counties are striving to ensure the quality of the structures at the highest level while introducing advanced building methods and making efficient construction equipment by themselves.
