The Twelfth Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea (SWUK) took place on Wednesday.
Present there were members and alternate members of the SWUK Central Committee and, as observers, women’s union officials from Pyongyang and local areas.
The enlarged plenary meeting discussed the issue of thoroughly implementing the decisions of the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and other issues.
Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women’s union, made a report.
The report stressed that the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee was a historic one as it confirmed the main orientation and the struggle policy for developing the state work to lay a practical guarantee for implementing the decisions of the historic Eighth Party Congress.

The report analyzed and reviewed the successes, experience, shortcomings and lessons made in the union work in the first half of this year and referred to the ways for perfectly implementing the decisions of the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee.
