Many People in DPRK Visit Sacred Places Associated with War Victory

Culture 2024.7.26.

An endless stream of visitors is flowing to the revolutionary sites associated with the immortal exploits President Kim Il Sung performed by leading the Fatherland Liberation War to victory.

This year alone, many people have visited the Fatherland Liberation War historic site and the number of visitors is increasing day by day in July.

The historic site is a sacred place associated with the feats of the President who defeated the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces in the war and wisely guided the army-building work after the war. He stayed at the site, set as the Supreme Headquarters of the Korean People’s Army, from January Juche 40 (1951) to August Juche 44 (1955).

The Jonsung Revolutionary Site, too, is visited by a large number of people, including service personnel and school youth and children. Staying at the site from January 1951 to December 1953, the President led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory and unfolded a blueprint for postwar reconstruction while guiding the work of the DPRK Military Commission and the Cabinet.

At least 10 636 530 people have visited the site for more than 50 years since its foundation.

Ryongpho, Kosanjin, Yuphyong and Changgol revolutionary sites and other sacred places of war victory are being visited by many people.
