Politics 2024.7.26.

His Earnest Request

One May day several years ago, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the Kumyagang Power Station No.2.

While enjoying a bird’s eye view of its spectacular reservoir with satisfaction, he asked the then chairman of the county Party committee if the people in the county were pleased.

Being informed of the fact that the inhabitants were getting benefits of electricity, with domestic water, from the power station, the respected General Secretary said that they would be pleased very much if more generators were installed.

And then the respected General Secretary earnestly requested the chairman to strive for solving the problems arising in the people’s life.

Hearing his saying, the chairman was filled with deep emotion.

Kindly looking at the chairman, he instructed that the chairman should improve the people’s life in the county by thoroughly implementing the Party’s policy on solving the power problem.

That day the respected General Secretary earnestly requested him as follows:

The people dislike the chairman good at speech-making and, on the contrary, they like him if their life is improved radically thanks to the new chairman’s efforts. So the chairman should always think whether they like him or not.

Receiving his precious instructions, the chairman made a firm determination to become a faithful servant of the people.

Why He Did Not Have Photo Taken

It was one August night in Juche 107(2018).

Despite the sultry weather of the midsummer, the respected General Secretary came to the spot to guide the trial runs of the new-type tram and trolley bus made by our workers.

He got on the tram and praised over and over again that it was well made, indifferent to his tireless efforts.

And he gave a detailed instruction arising in making the tram nicely lest our people should feel a slight inconvenience.

Looking up to the respected General Secretary, accompanying officials could hardly repress their surging emotion.

An official asked him to have a souvenir picture taken with him against the background of the new-type of tram.

Continuing that it was a matter of fact that the officials mapped out a plan, organized and commanded the work for making the tram, but in reality, the workers made it, he considered the efforts of the workers who had strived to make it in the meantime.

His saying touched the officials to the heart.

After that the respected General Secretary headed again for the spot to learn about the new-type trolley bus’s capacity.

Indeed, the respected General Secretary is the great father who gives all the blessings to our people and finds his pleasure in going through all sorts of hardships for them.
