There is the main sculpture "Victory" in the Monument to the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum which tells the history of great victory in the war.

Our people feel the pride and honor of being descendants of victorious wartime generation in front of the sculpture "Victory".

The sculpture depicts a People’s Army soldier who aroused our people to victory holding the fluttering national flag of the DPRK in his arm.

It vividly represents the heroic fighting spirit of the defenders of the country in the 1950s who defended the dignity and honor of the country by smashing the US imperialists who boasted of being "the strongest" in the world under the wise guidance of President Kim Il Sung.

In retrospect, the Fatherland Liberation War was a period of harsh trial for our young Republic which had to wage a life-and-death struggle against the invaders.

The US imperialists, to nip the DPRK in the bud, hurled vast numbers of its armed forces amounting to more than two million, including one third of its ground forces, one fifth of its air force, most of the Pacific Fleet, troops from its 15 satellite countries, the ROK puppet army and Japanese militarists, into the Korean front.

However, nothing could bring down the Korean people and the Korean People’s Army closely rallied around their leader.

The people’s army soldiers showed mass heroism to the full in every battle shouting "Long Live General Kim Il Sung!" with a firm belief that they would surely win victory as they were led by the President.

A foreign journalist who wrote about the matchless self-scarifying spirit and heroism displayed by the People’s Army soldiers in the Korean War highly praised that the President, who demonstrated the mettle of the heroic Korea to the world by achieving the great victory unprecedented in the world history of war, is the hero of heroes.

The DPRK history of great victory in war shines with the august name of the President, the banner of victory and glory.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un’s autograph "Honour to the Great Years" was inscribed on the sculpture "Victory" of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the war victory.

The history of war victory shining with immortal exploits of the President will last forever as the DPRK history of victory thanks to the guidance of the respected General Secretary.
