The national Tangogi cooking contest was held from July 22 to 25 at the Cooking Festival House situated in Ryomyong Street in Pyongyang.

The contest aimed at improving the scientific accuracy and artistic skill of Tangogi cooking and displaying the regional characteristics.

What noticeable in the contest was that the participants fully displayed their capabilities they have steadily trained to improve the scientific and artistic level of cooking.

Kim Kum Ok, an official at the Changgwang Public Service Station, said that the important thing in making Tangogi dish is to remove blood from meet.

Jo Yong, secretary general of the Korean Association of Cooks, said that it is important to make dishes deliciously, nutritiously and cleanly on the basis of scientific principles.

The Pyongyang Tangogi House, the Tangogi House of the Changgwang Public Service Station and the Munhung Tangogi House of the Taedonggang District Restaurants Management Office were highly appreciated in the contest.
