Medical workers of the public health sector have turned out for implementing the decision of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Deeply aware of their mission and duty in clearly demonstrating once again the sacred mission and people-oriented character of the WPK which gives top and absolute priority to the interests of the people and makes selfless and devoted efforts for the good of the people, officials of the Ministry of Public Health waged the work immediately for sending the powerful medical forces and a large amount of medical supplies to the flood-stricken areas including North Phyongan and Jangang provinces.

The ministry under the guidance of its Party committee dispatched the officials in the preventive and curative sector to grasp the holdings of medical facilities and medicines of the public health organs in relevant areas while carrying on the organization and command minutely for operating the rapid mobile treatment group formed with medical workers of the central hospitals.

According to this, the able medical workers of the Pyongyang University of Medicine Hospital, Kim Man Yu Hospital and Okryu Children’s Hospital equipped with modernized diagnosis and check-up equipment arrived on the spot and buckled down to the preventive and treatment work for the flood victims.

In cooperation with the regional medical workers, members of the rapid mobile treatment group have devoted their utmost sincerity for the sake of the people’s life and security.

On the basis of setting up the general command system for ensuring the realtime connection with the spot, the officials of the ministry have taken immediate measures to settle the arising problems.

Meanwhile, the anit-epidemic work, too, has been conducted in the disaster areas vigorously.

The boundless devotion and warm sincerity of the medical workers inspire the officials and working people engaged in the rehabilitation with confidence and courage.
