The Ryongchon Mining Machine Factory kindles the fierce flame of technical innovation movement according to a detailed plan for training skilled workers.

Once Jang Jong Gyu, manager of the factory, and other officials had a chance to realize that they should map out further detailed plan for training skilled workers.

The change of generations at the factory caused the shortage of skilled workers.

Therefore, some employees of the factory would be discouraged when they were faced with difficult tasks and they regarded it as an unavoidable problem because of the shortage of skilled workers.

The officials discussed to solve it, and meticulously organized the work for applying good suggestions offered during the discussions.

In particular, they directed their efforts to enhancing the technical skills of the young and promising newcomers.

It led the employees of the factory to display the spirit of helping and leading each other forward while solving together the main technical problems relating to development of the factory.

Meanwhile, the officials encouraged the employee’s enthusiasm for study while running the sci-tech learning space in an effective way.

They also let veteran workers share their rich experiences with the newcomers to improve their technical skills.

In the process, the Ryongchon Mining Machine Factory won the Title of Model Technical Innovation Unit, and now they put continuous efforts into training skilled workers regarding it as the weapon for their development.

Relying on Their Own Technical Forces 

Not long ago, the June 20 Pit of the Kogonwon Coal Mine was awarded the Title of Model Technical Innovation Unit.

In the past, the pit was equipped with an imported equipment and it costed a lot of money to purchase its accessories when the equipment was out of order.

Thus, the officials of the pit decided to remodel the equipment.

The employees of the pit, who are well aware of the importance of remodeling the equipment, pooled their creative wisdom and efforts in it.

They strove to solve the sci-tech problems while studying documents and technical data.

As a result of their efforts, the work for remodeling the equipment were successfully carried out.

And this case made all the employees realize that nothing is impossible when they are relying on their own technical forces, and encouraged them to improve their technical skills.

In addition, the technical innovation work was turned into the work of the masses themselves.

Now the officials and employees of the pit pool their creative wisdom to settle the technical problems for preventing the autoignition of produced coal.
