True to the Worker’s Party of Korea’s intention on producing consumer goods in an all-out movement, the August 3 mass consumption goods producers across the country have put further spurs to the production, thus increasing the production 1.7 times as against the same period of last year.

In particular, Pyongyang Municipality has taken the lead in the production of consumer goods.

Officials of the municipal people’s committee, under the guidance of the municipal Party committee of the WPK, have launched the work in a revolutionary way with the main stress on improving the quality of consumer goods.

The officials and producers of management offices of housewives’ work-teams in Sadong District directed primary efforts to technical transformation of equipment to improve the quality of consumer goods.

The production units of the August 3 mass consumption goods in Phyongchon and Songyo districts, too, made definite progress in improving the products by newly installing the equipment including sewing machine and remodeling them.

Other districts also brought about the success in improvement of products.

Kangwon and South Phyongan provinces channeled their efforts into increasing the varieties of consumer goods.

Similar successes have been witnessed in other provinces.
