Hygienic and anti-epidemic and medical service activities are actively launched to take care of the lives and health of the residents in the special-level disaster emergency areas true to the decision of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The Ministry of Public Health is taking meticulous measures to provide without delay normal medical services as well as hygienic and anti-epidemic services in the areas. Accordingly, anti-epidemic workers give precedence to disinfection of the inundated areas with a high sense of responsibility in cooperation with workers in charge of hygiene. In particular, they strictly observe the rules in disinfecting the water supply facilities and the like.

Disinfectants and preventive medicines against possible contagious diseases have immediately been supplied and vaccinations are done on a full scale.

The officials of the ministry learn about the arising problems and take necessary measures on the spot. They pay special attention to ensuring promptness and accuracy of medical services by thoroughly establishing a unified system for controlling the field medical service activities now that capable treatment forces have been deployed in the flood-stricken areas.

As a result, tens of field medical teams have been arranged in a mobile way to animate the medical service activities.

Members of the field medical teams of the Pyongyang University of Medicine Hospital and the Kim Man Yu Hospital give courage and confidence to those in the flood-hit areas.

Thanks to the devoted efforts of the medical workers, medicines are supplied to the residents in time and screening and examination are done in conformity with the actual conditions.

The ministry also sees to it that the officials in the relevant sector enhance their role to ensure operation of vehicles needed for the medical service activities.

The trustworthy health workers who have turned out with zeal to repay the trust of the Party carry on with their dynamic campaign.
