In particular, all efforts are concentrated on the project for the establishment of C1 chemical industry which is of important significance in transforming the country’s chemical industry into Juche-based industry relying on domestic raw materials.

And scientists, technicians and builders, who take part in the construction of methanol production process that is greatly conducive to the people’s living standard, put redoubled efforts into thoroughly ensuring all production processes scientifically and technologically and raising the quality of the construction.

The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex completed the technical preparations for establishing the production process of slow effective fertilizer and urea fertilizer and buckled down to building the factory, while pushing ahead with the construction of a melamine resin production base conducive to improving the people’s standard of living.

The Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill has put spurs to the struggle for furnishing the paper production process by reed.

Besides, various units including the February 8 Vinalon Complex, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Ponghwa Chemical Factory, too, mapped out the construction of the bases for producing new chemical products and have directed big efforts to finishing the construction successfully.
