Families with Many Children Full of Happiness

Culture 2024.8.17.

Choe Un Gyong, residing in 27th People’s Neighbourhood Unit of Kumnung-dong No.2 in Hwasong District, Pyongyang Municipality, is a mother of six children.

She lived in a single-storied dwelling house in Taedonggang District before moving to new house in Rimhung Street. Then, the country allotted the three-roomed house in Rimhung Street to her as hers was family with many children.

Our country takes many preferential treatments for families with many children and allotment of dwelling houses is one of those measures. The government solves the housing problem of families with many children across the country on an annual basis and preferentially allots the dwelling houses newly built in Pyongyang Municipality to families with many children.

According to this hundreds of families with many children moved into new houses in Rimhung Street alone.

In our country women and children with a certificate of family with many children are able to preferentially receive medical treatment at all hospitals including central hospitals.

Thanks to such measure, Kim Su Hyang, a mother of five children residing in Hacha-dong, Phyongsong City, and her children have regular medical examinations in the hospitals in the city.

She attended the 5th National Conference of Mothers held in December last year and had a souvenir photo taken with the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

Under our benevolent socialist system the families with many children are filled with pleasure and happiness.

Among women who were awarded state commendations including Title of Labor Hero and those who received the Communist Mother Honor Prize at the 5th National Conference of Mothers are mothers who have many children.

Our country spares nothing for mothers as it is a patriotic work and an important issue vital to the prospect of the country and nation that they give birth to many children and bring them up well.

Therefore, our mothers feel worth living and find joy and pride in giving birth to many children and bringing them up well.
