Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from Dmitri Anatoliyevich Medvedev, president of the United Russia Party, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Korea’s liberation.

Medvedev in the message noted that strengthening close cooperation between Russia and the DPRK on the basis of the tradition of friendship and good-neighborliness provided by the preceding generations fully conforms to the interests of the peoples of the two countries.

Expressing hope that the fruitful mutual cooperation between the United Russia Party and the Workers’ Party of Korea would make a great contribution to the accomplishment of this cause, he wished the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un good health and fresh success and all the citizens of the DPRK prosperity and wellbeing.
