The Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea sent a reply message to the General Council of the United Russia Party on August 17.

The WPK Central Committee in the message extended deep gratitude to Dmitri Anatoliyevich Medvedev, president of the United Russia Party, for sending the message of greeting to Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Korea’s liberation.

The reply message expressed belief that the tradition of friendship between the two countries and the two peoples, which had been provided in the flames of the bloody anti-Japanese armed struggle, would be firmly carried forward and mutual cooperation between the two parties would grow stronger in the struggle to consolidate the comprehensive strategic partnership between the DPRK and Russia and establish a fair international order.
