The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK has made achievements conducive to strengthening the independence of the metallurgical industry.

It established efficient and advanced Juche-based production lines and provided another guarantee for increasing the output of high-quality heavy rail steel by combining the steelmaking processes of the oxygen converter and the 100-ton UHP electric arc furnace.

As a result, this makes it possible to further raise the productivity and quality of heavy rails while reducing the consumption of electricity and electrodes.
