As a result, we should sell residents in the county the products at high prices, additional charges included. We were not happy then, as the products we sold included soap and other essential consumer goods. But now, we sell our county products at lower prices than before."
A housewife, who visited the shop with her son, said that she loved the products produced in her county, and the products are cheap and convenient to use.
The first pride of Kimhwa County is wheat paste.
A grandmother residing in 36th People’s neighbourhood unit in the Township of Kimhwa County said as follows:
"At home, it requires much effort to make bean paste. But now the county foodstuff factory produces bean or wheat paste of excellent taste, so we buy it. My hometown is getting civilized day by day under the warm care of the Workers’ Party. I’d like to live more than a hundred years under such benevolent socialist system."
The Kimhwa County foodstuff factory, garment factory, daily necessities factory and paper factory are seething with ardent enthusiasm of their officials and employees to give full play to our Party’s policy by making all the consumer goods more and better.
The variety of consumer goods produced at the regional industry factories in Kimhwa County has increased over 1.3 times more than the first year after the inauguration and the industrial total output value over 2 times.

In this regard, the manager of the foodstuff factory in the county said:

"Officials of Songchon County, who came to the factory days ago, went deep into automation of the steam cooking and fermentation processes.
"Leaving the factory, they said with confidence that they would produce more goods and better goods than Kimhwa County.
"So we promised to compete from next year as the modern regional industrial factories are to be built in Songchon County in a few months."
It is said that not only officials but also skilled workers from across the country including North and South Phyongan and Kangwon provinces have been taught.
An official in Songchon County told as follows:
"I was so refreshed to see the regional industrial factories in Kimhwa County, where the natural and geographical conditions are more unfavorable than my county, push ahead with the production after building the raw-material base in a short period and thus enjoy benefits from it.
"Such realities inspire us with confidence that my county, too, can settle problem of raw materials by itself.
"So we have already secured hundreds of hectares of raw-material bases and are pushing ahead with crop cultivation at the height of the construction of the regional industrial factories."
After visiting Kimhwa County, officials and working people in Sukchon County have made a series of suggestions.
Among them is a plan to obtain oil for soap production from rice bran abundant in the flat areas.
