The 2024 summer aesthetic symposium in the urban management sector of the DPRK took place at the Sci-Tech Complex on August 28.
The symposium, held on the theme of "Improvement of ecological environment in rivers", was attended by Im Kyong Jae, minister of Urban Management, and officials, scientists and technicians in the fields of urban management, land and environment protection, design, supervision and education from Pyongyang and provinces.
Speakers called for improving river landscape to make contributions to the economic development of the country and the cultured life of the people.
They referred to the theoretical and practical problems crucially arising in raising the self-purification capacity of rivers, restoring ecology of rivers and greening the riversides in a scientific way.
The participants watched a video on advanced sci-tech data related to the management of rivers and restoration of ecology.
