A national children’s Taekwon-Do championship was held at the Taekwon-Do Hall and the Taekwon-Do Holy House from August 14 to 29.

The championship was attended by more than 700 players and coaches, selected from the Ryongaksan Taekwon-Do Team, provincial Taekwon-Do teams, paduk teams of provincial paduk centres, Korea University of Physical Education and Central Sports School. Players competed in Taekwon-Do, paduk and Korean chess.

At the championship, Pyongyang came first in total standings and Kangwon Province took the first place at the Korean chess event.

Medals and certificates were awarded to the successful teams and players.
