The Jangsan Mine has made a remarkable success in its production amid the daily-surging drive to implement the decision of the 10th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

According to data available, the officials and workers of the factory have recently updated the main production system in a streamlined way and operated all processes at full capacity, thus raising the production capacity of refractory 1.3 times as against the same period of last year and registering the highest results in more than 10 years.

With the high goal of realizing the integration of science and technology and production under the guidance and assistance of the Ministry of Metal Industry, officials of the complex have organized and conducted the work for technically transforming raw material feeding process and gas generator, etc.

The grinding work-team installed a tilted belt conveyor in the vertical raw material feeding process to eliminate the improper processes and increase the productivity.

The gas generator work-team, too, has set up efficient gas generators to increase the gas production per hour by overcoming the shortcomings in the operation of the process. Workers of the calcination work-team have also made a massive change in the firing of refractory.

Now the workers of the mine, in cooperation with scientists and researchers of Kim Chaek University of Technology, have applied the automatic control system newly introduced into the gas-generating and calcining process to raise the proportion of tested goods of refractory bricks while operating equipment easily.

The mine economizes in more labor, fuel and power than before by putting overall processes on a streamlined basis and has made innovations in carrying out its annual plan by more than 96 percent as of August.
