Culture 2024.9.4.

A national prize contest aimed at actively developing construction equipment and building materials needed for rural housing construction took place in the DPRK from February to August, under the sponsorship of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

The contest was held on the theme of "Let us build rural houses with modern means and domestic raw and other materials". It brought together officials, scientists, technicians and builders from the sectors and units related to rural construction and those who desire to take part in the contest. More than 160 valuable technical innovations and inventions were presented.

Machinery and equipment devised by the building-materials company of the Sungho County Construction Brigade and other units were appreciated as they are helpful to saving a lot of manpower and materials, efficient in working performance and of great practical significance.
