Not Like a Pool of Dead Water

One February day in Juche 104(2015), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the construction site of the Sci-Tech Complex.

After seeing the map showing bird’s-eye view of the Sci-Tech Complex, he expressed great satisfaction saying that the miniature of the complex was well done.

The accompanying officials were excited by his undeserved appreciation. In fact, the General Secretary energetically led the construction of the complex to erect it as a monumental edifice of the times.

That day the General Secretary said that the Sci-Tech Complex should be a palace of learning and the center of advanced sci-tech disseminating base where not only scientists and technicians but also all other people can learn to their heart’s content.

He stressed that the Sci-Tech Complex should be a hub of dissemination where sci-tech information circulates ceaselessly, not be like a pool of dead water. His meaningful instructions easily taught the mission and duty of the Sci-Tech Complex.

The officials kept deep in their minds the great ambition of the General Secretary to achieve rapid development of science and technology with advanced science and technology as motive force and accelerate the building of a powerful socialist country.

 Equipment He Appreciated with Satisfaction

In October Juche 102(2013), the respected General Secretary visited a mushroom institute. That day an official of the institute informed the General Secretary of a piece of equipment of the institute which was manufactured by the scientists and technicians of the State Academy of Sciences.

The General Secretary went to the equipment and carefully inspected the interior of the equipment to learn in detail about its characters.

After a while, the General Secretary expressed his satisfaction saying that he was pleased to see our scientists and technicians striving hard to carry out the Party’s instructions to root out the import mania.

He continued that it was needless to develop such science and technology as assembling of imported equipment.

His saying reflected the noble meaning that it is the best to strengthen our own sci-tech forces and develop science and technology of the country depending on the forces and then we are able to consolidate the everlasting foundation of the self-supporting national economy.

Looking up to the respected General Secretary seeing the equipment with great pleasure, the accompanying officials made up their minds to manufacture more of modern facilities by our own efforts and technology as instructed by the General Secretary.
