On December 19, Juche 89(2000), Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the factory and expressed satisfaction over the fact that quality syringes could be provided in larger amounts to our people and soldiers, looking at various kinds of medical appliances including syringes of all sizes.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, who inspected the factory in September eight years ago, stressed that the factory should duly play a vanguard role in making medical appliances factories Juche-based and modern and that it is the Party’s intention to realize home production of medical appliances by modernizing the Taedonggang Syringe Factory to be a model and standard and letting all its counterparts actively follow its example.
