A few days ago, we visited the Phyongsan County construction brigade and heard stories from builders and farmers at the rural housing construction site.

"All of those roofing tiles and coating materials as well as furniture were made by our county."

Recalling the stories, we arrived in the building materials production base of the construction brigade.

Seeing one by one the building materials produced there, we were surprised so much.

According to an accompanying official, those various colored-tiles, different kinds of blocks, coating materials and others are well-known not only in Phyongsan County but also in other localities for their high qualities.

He said that the greatest success the base achieved in recent years was to implant in mind of its employees the confidence that their own efforts are best, guiding us to a working place.

The building materials produced there seemed impeccable.

In particular, decorative boards were associated with the painstaking efforts of its employees.

There were a series of difficult problems in the production due to the complicated technical process.

But the employees, in cooperation with researchers in relevant fields under the guidance of the county Party committee, strived to bring the board production to success.

A worker said that the persons from other counties, too, have learned technologies in his county, adding as follows:

"How can we remain idle in the era when the localities are changing."

They are now working hard to make all the finishing building materials necessary for regional construction on their own.
