Our people keep deep in their minds the benevolent image of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who visited the April 25 Hostel on August 16 to learn about the preparations for the education of pupils from the flood-hit areas and personally helped them shoulder their satchels. That day the respected General Secretary earnestly requested the schoolchildren to study harder and train themselves to bring delight to their families and country.

One June day, Juche 105(2016) the respected General Secretary summoned officials of the then Central Industrial Design Administration and stressed some issues arising in the production of schoolbags.

The officials were wrapped with great excitement and deeply moved by the eagerness of the respected General Secretary to provide our children with better schoolbags, who paid so deep attention to schoolbag issue though he was busy with state affairs.

At that moment the officials warmly recollected the story that the respected General Secretary could not easily take his eyes off the figures of children who were going to school with the schoolbag in one hand and musical instrument and belonging in the other.

The respected General Secretary, looking at those figures of the children which anyone regarded as an ordinary matter inadvertently, made a firm determination to provide our children across the country with satchels.

That day he looked carefully the schoolbags exhibited one by one and gave precious instructions on issues arising in producing design of satchels: the issue of varying shape of schoolbag; the issue of printing portraits of our country’s cartoon’s characters or animal pictures; the issue of placing magnet snap fastener on the cover of pockets of the satchel; the issue of supplementing more sponges to shoulder straps; the issue of organizing frequent prize contest for developing designs of schoolbags.

We have recently opened up the prospects for solving the problems of notebooks and textbooks for schoolchildren and, if we make one more effort, we can solve the problem of schoolbag soon, he said, and earnestly called upon all the officials for vigorously pushing ahead with the work of producing diversiform schoolbags in a qualitative way true to the Party’s intention.

This is not all that show his warm love associated with the schoolbags.

One December day that year he personally inspected 190-odd schoolbag designs one by one and gave precious instructions.

Thanks to such warm care of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un various satchels were given to birth, and now our children go to school shouldering “Sonamu”-trademarked schoolbags.

The schoolbags are not so big; however, they are associated with the ardent love of the benevolent father who loves our children the most.

Indeed, our children enjoy themselves to their heart’s content under the benevolent love of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who spares nothing for our rising generation.
