Importance of Ensuring Quality

One day in January, Juche 104(2015), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the Ryuwon Footwear Factory in spite of the midwinter cold.

One of the problems he paid deep attention to that day was how to provide our people with shoes of good quality.

After learning about the technical innovations made at the factory, he noted that the factory should channel efforts into introducing new technologies and that the kinds of shoes have become various as compared with the past and people require better shoes.

Reminding the officials of the factory of the importance of ensuring quality, he said that due attention must be paid to ensuring quality as shoes are daily necessities which everyone attaches much importance to.

Then he stressed that it is one of the main tasks of the footwear industry to produce shoes of our style which suit the tastes and aesthetic feelings of our people by diversifying shoes in terms of kind, shape and color.

The officials made a firm determination to produce a larger number of quality shoes in conformity with the developing realities and the people’s tastes.

Skiing Ground at Hot Spring Resort

One April day in Juche 108(2019), when the construction of the Yangdok Hot Spring Resort was at its height, the respected General Secretary inspected the site.

He said that it was right of him to decide that the resort would be built in such a way that people could have hot spring baths and enjoy skiing at the same time.

Ideal indeed was a hot spring resort which also had a winter skiing ground.

While the officials were picturing to themselves the people who would have a nice time having hot spring baths and enjoying skiing, the respected General Secretary said that the Yangdok area had favorable conditions for building a skiing ground.

He said that, according to the analysis of the data on the weather conditions of the area, the snowy period in the area is three days longer than that in the Masikryong area and the temperature of the former is also lower than the latter’s.

In that sense, the Yangdok area was preferable to the Masikryong area for a skiing ground, he continued.

The officials were filled with surprise.

They could imagine how much trouble he would have taken to go through lots of meteorological and climatic data for the construction of a skiing ground at the resort.

The ski tracks which are full of people’s delight still remind us that the creations of happiness built on this land are precious fruits of the respected General Secretary’s devoted service for the people.
