A session of Permanent Commission of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK took place.

The session discussed the issues of amendment and supplement of the laws of the DPRK on dissemination of science and technology, copyright, disaster prevention, rescue and rehabilitation, railways, mark of sea route and trade and adopted relevant decrees.

In the law on dissemination of science and technology, the contents related to the organization and operation of sci-tech dissemination units, the buildup and dissemination of sci-tech databases and legal responsibility were amended and supplemented.

In the law on disaster prevention, rescue and rehabilitation the issues arising in establishing a disaster management system, preventing disaster, coping with crisis, and securing and supplying emergency disaster materials were specified in detail.

The issues related to train operation, railway passenger transport and railway protection were reflected in a more detailed way in the law on railways, and some contents such as the issues arising in installing, managing and operating the marks of sea route were newly specified in the law on mark of sea route.

The law on trade was supplemented with some issues arising in developing the country’s trade.
