Though Changing Time Passed

A few days ago, employees of the heat production workshop No. 3 of the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant found that a problem hindering the sufficient disposal of ash occurred at the slag waterway. Only a few hours left until the shift and the ash would not be disposed of until then. However, if they left without disposing of it, members of the next shift would spend much time just doing the job.

They turned out as one to enable the next shift to produce electricity without any trouble.

So, some of them got ready for the shift and the others went to the waterway with suitable tools.

Shortly afterwards, the members of the next shift arrived there and suggested their returning home. However, they insisted on finishing the work on their own, thinking that what they did for the next shift would be of that much help to electricity production.

That day, they returned home after they finished the waterway work. Though it was late, they were wearing smiles of pleasure on their faces with pride that they contributed to increasing electricity production.

A Remade Plan

Early last June, Han Kum Chol, head of the Kangwon Provincial Technological Products Development Agency, was lost deep in consideration of the plan presented by the new-materials development office.

The plan was a valuable technical innovation proposal with which to produce finishing building materials needed for the rural housing construction with locally-available raw materials. But it was too hard a task for a single office to fulfill on its own.

Worse still, even if the material was developed, it would take a long time until its sufficient production.

At that very moment, several office chiefs entered the room.

They suggested as one helping the office with its development project.

Han felt a lump in his throat.

They had always stood in the van of assuming jobs for the agency and the comrades of their own accord.

That’s why they offered to render help though their hands were full with their own business.

Hence, a plan reflecting detailed tasks for each office was remade.

After several days of painstaking efforts, they completed the design, sped up the equipment manufacture and finally produced the trial product. Watching the product being produced along the production process with delight, they fully felt the pride of helping and leading one another forward.

How They Grew into A Group of Feat Performers

The mica general workteam of the Chongnam Electric Appliances Repair Plant at the Anju Area Coal Mining Complex is known as a group which expedites any tasks.

The head of the workteam Choe Kum Sok says that the secret lies in their taking care of one another.

When a member of the workteam was seriously ill not long ago, the other members visited him before any others.

Providing him with several tonics and foodstuffs, they said that they would help him as much as possible and encouraged him to regain health and get back to work.

Their sincerity moved him a great deal and their ardent love and tender feelings brought him back to work.

It was not all. The entire workteam fixed the house of a workteam member till late at night in order to relieve him of his worries.

When a son was born to a workteam member’s family, everyone rejoiced and presented materials reflecting their sincerity.

Like this, it is the morale of the workteam to regard everything happening within the group as their own business and give unselfish help.

Even today, they perform feats in production day after day amid the collectivist morale of helping and leading each other forward.
