His Plain Instructions

One February day in Juche 104(2015), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the construction site of the Sci-Tech Complex in spite of the cold-windy weather.

After seeing the map showing a bird’s-eye view of the Sci-Tech Complex, he said that the miniature of the complex was well done.

The accompanying officials were excited by his undeserved appreciation.

In fact, the General Secretary energetically led the construction of the complex to erect it as a monumental edifice of the times.

After a while, the General Secretary said that the Sci-Tech Complex should be a palace of learning and a hub of the dissemination of the latest science and technology where not only scientists and technicians but also all other people can learn to their heart’s content.

So to speak, it should be the place where people ceaselessly learn latest sci-tech knowledge like a refueling station where cars are supplied with fuel.

He stressed that the Sci-Tech Complex should be a sci-tech disseminating base, not be like a pond of dead water.

His meaningful instructions taught the mission and duty of the Sci-Tech Complex.

The instructions represented his great ambition to achieve rapid development of science and technology with advanced science and technology as motive force and accelerate the advance of our revolution.

Looking at Small Exhibits

One May day in Juche 106(2017), the respected General Secretary visited an exhibition venue.

Exhibited there were utensils, tools, finishing building materials and data on sci-tech achievements devised and manufactured by servicepersons of the Korean People’s Army during the struggle for opening up the great heyday of construction under the guidance of the Party.

Looking at the exhibits one by one, the General Secretary said with great satisfaction that the exhibition changed a lot as against the exhibition held two years before then, uncommon scenery in the heyday of construction and a great revolution was brought about in the construction field.

The exhibits were manufactured suited to the constitution of our people and they were handy to use, he stated, continuing that there were many kinds of quality building materials, fixtures and furnishings. He stressed the need to dynamically wage the struggle for localization of building materials and diversifying them in terms of kind, shape and colour.

Boundless is the strength and wisdom of the masses and they can do whatever they make up their minds to do, he said, adding that the exhibition served as a very important occasion in glorifying the heyday of construction.

Receiving his instructions, the officials understood the great ambition of the General Secretary to develop science and technology of the country through the mass-based technological innovation drive.
