The scientific farming promotion team in the DPRK has directed big efforts to increasing the grain yield this year.

Its members conducted on-site technical course and passing-on technique in cities and counties to minimize the flooding damage and prevent major damage by harmful insects on crops, thus providing a guarantee for high and stable yield.

The team is carrying out an objective and accurate estimate of rice and maize yield in the whole country at the final stage by using satellite information analysis and crop growth simulation technologies.

The dissemination of agricultural science and technology has been conducted in a vigorous way.

The team organized a tele-technical consultative meeting several times and provided real-time questioning and answering service through an agricultural science and technology service system. And it made it possible to immediately take measures for the problems arising at worksites.
