Our people call the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK) "Motherly Party", for we have kept in our minds the Party as the image of mother protecting our destinies and taking care of our life both in good times and bad.

This call is unthinkable without popular traits of peerlessly great persons.

President Kim Il Sung, founder of the WPK, upheld the people as Heaven from the time he embarked on the road of the revolution at his early age.

The President reflected the people’s demands and wishes in the Party’s policy and developed the WPK into the Party devotedly serving the people.

Then Chairman Kim Jong Il identical to the President in ideology, leadership and traits led the WPK to fulfill its mission and duty.

Once Chairman Kim Jong Il presided an emergency meeting of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee to improve the health of workers working at a remote mine in the northern end of the country and their labour conditions.

Hundreds of families in Ryongchon County were awarded the certificates of patriotic martyrs at the same time and dozens of workers and technicians of the Rakwon General Machine Enterprise became the members of the WPK on a day thanks to the loving care of the Chairman.

Recorded in the history of the WPK are a lot of stories about loving care and trust shown by the peerlessly great men.

Today the WPK history of love for the people is steadily carried forward under the guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

The respected General Secretary pays primary attention to the life of people suffering pains. For example, sitting knee to knee with the flood victims this year, Kim Jong Un took meticulous care of their living, asking them whether they felt anything inconvenient, how their meals were provided and if there were any sick ones.

Hence, our people are faithful to the leadership of the General Secretary entrusting him with the destiny and future while singing songs like the song "Voice of Mother".
