Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from Dmitri Anatoliyevich Medvedev, president of the United Russia Party, on Oct. 7.

In the message Medvedev extended sincere congratulations to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the WPK.

Under your leadership the DPRK is continuing to advance successfully along the road of strengthening its sovereignty and improving the well-being of the Korean people despite the sustained external pressure, the message said, adding:

Moscow and Pyongyang laid a solid foundation for multilateral cooperation within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

I am convinced that the further promotion of the ties between the United Russia Party and the Workers’ Party of Korea based on the agreement on exchange and cooperation, adopted on October 25, 2018, will facilitate the solution of a wide range of issues of mutual concern including the movement against modern neocolonialism.

Medvedev in the message wished Kim Jong Un and all members of the WPK good health and fresh successes.
