Not long ago Yun Kyong Ok residing in Tongdaewon District, Pyongyang sent us a letter. The letter was about her emotion and impression she received when she took care of her younger brother in the Korea General Red Cross Hospital.

Her younger brother Yun Tong Ju was sent to the nerve specialist hospital under Korea General Red Cross Hospital in mid-December last year.

At that time he was in a hopeless condition. However, Hong Chol Min, doctor of the hospital, administered first-aid treatment and was determined to perform an operation; the first operation which served as a first key to survival of Yun Tong Ju.

Since then, Hong had dealt with ever-changing circumstances for over 20-odd days and detailed the treatment programme together with Kim Hyok Chol, his department director.

Four operations were conducted for Yun, and many doctors and nurses devoted their sincerity to his survival.

Thanks to their efforts and sincerity, Yun came to be released from the hospital after nearly 170 days of hospital treatment.

Yun Kyong Ok also wrote in the letter the names of many officials of the Tongdaewon District Party Committee who devoted unforgettable sincerity to her younger brother.

Indeed, the letter shows the true figures of our people who lead a happy life under the benevolent socialist system.

Our socialist public health system shines as the most advantageous one centered on the popular masses in the world thanks to such medical workers who fulfill their duty with warm sincerity and high ability.
