South Phyongan Province has secured millions of saplings needed for tree planting.

The province organized the work for introducing experiences of advanced units in the production of saplings in order to make thorough preparations for tree-planting while encouraging the enthusiasm for emulation among nurseries by following up the appraisal.

In particular, the provincial tree nursery, which plays an important role in tree planting, has organized the work to produce many good species of saplings.

Officials and employees of the provincial tree nursery put spurs to the drive to put the sapling production on a scientific, industrial and intensive basis, increased the production of saplings of great economic value suitable for the climatic and soil conditions of the province and brought up many saplings good for greening.

Those in Hoechang, Yangdok and Maengsan counties have also increased the fertility of the nursery and tended it in a scientific and technological way to healthily grow good species of saplings including pine-nut and Larix lepolepis.
