The General Association of Koreans in China (GAKC) held events to celebrate the 79th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

On October 10, baskets of flowers were laid before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin by the GAKC and its affiliated organizations. And floral baskets in the names of the GAKC, the Association of Korean Women in China, the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China, and the Jilin City branch of the Jilin Regional Association, the Zhongnan Regional Association and the Dandong City branch of the Liaoning Regional Association under the GAKC and the family of Hwang Baek Ha, a Korean in China related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, were placed before the portraits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and artworks depicting them at the DPRK missions in Beijing, Shenyang and Dandong of China.

A seminar on the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s work "The Cause of the Great Party of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il Is Ever-Victorious" was held at the conference hall of the GAKC headquarters.

Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok and other officials of the GAKC headquarters, Chairperson Han Song Ok and members of the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China and members of the Shenyang City branch of the Liaoning Regional Association.

Choe Un Bok courteously conveyed the immortal work of Kim Jong Un.

Then followed speeches.

Speakers noted that Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il successfully accomplished the historic cause of Party founding and consolidated the organizational and ideological foundation of the Party to steadily develop the WPK into the revolutionary Party of Juche, an invincible revolutionary party.

Thanks to the rare ideo-theoretical wisdom and outstanding leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong UN, the WPK has developed into the Party of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, an era of our state-first principle, the most glorious era in the nation’s history of 5 000 years, is being ushered in the DPRK and the Korean people have become the people of a powerful country looking down at the world with high national dignity, great judgment, extraordinary creative ability and plenty of pluck, they stressed.

A celebration reception was given on the same day.

Organizations affiliated to the GAKC, too, held diverse celebration events.
