Celebrations Held Abroad

Events were held in Nepal, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Hungary, Bulgaria, Belarus, Switzerland, Austria, Nigeria and Mexico between Oct. 2 and 9 to celebrate the 79th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Speeches were made at the events attended by personages of political parties, organizations and institutions and masses in those countries.

The general secretary of the C.C., Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) and the chairperson of the National Democratic Confederation of Trade Unions of Nepal praised President Kim Il Sung for founding the WPK and Chairman Kim Jong Il for building it into the party of the leader.

The secretary of the C.C., Communist Party of Belarus said that the WPK is recognized as a powerful political force with influence in the international arena and its experience of struggle serves as a precious textbook for the countries aspiring after socialism.

The chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism said that no formidable enemy dare to provoke the DPRK as all its people are firmly united around H.E. Kim Jong Un and it has tremendous military muscle.

The chairman of the Hungarian Workers’ Party hoped that the WPK would achieve new historic successes by holding high the banner of socialism under the leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un.

The secretary general of the Switzerland-Korea Committee noted that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un formulated the revolutionary ideology of the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and set it as the eternal guiding idea of the WPK and has made sure that the leadership role of the Party is enhanced in every way.

The general secretary of the C.C., People’s Socialist Party of Mexico said that the leadership of the WPK is a sure guarantee for victoriously advancing the socialist cause and that the heroic struggle of the Korean people gives great strength and courage to the world progressives.

Congratulatory messages and letters to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events in Nepal, Hungary, Bulgaria and Switzerland.
