A show of apples and pears took place at the Food Festival House in Ryomyong Street of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, on Oct. 23.

Presented to the show for public evaluation were apples and pears of various species from fruit production units across the country, including Kwail and Pukchong counties, and Kosan and Samsok combined fruit farms.

The show was held in the way of evaluating sweetness, sourness, wetness and aroma of apples and pears of various strains on display by the jury consisting of ordinary persons.

Highly appreciated were the apples and pears produced by Pukchong County, the Onchon Fruit Farm and the Toksong Apple Farm.
