Congratulatory Meeting Held at Farm
Shortly ago, there took place a congratulatory meeting at the Solsup Farm in Anju City.
It was to congratulate more than 10 farmers who were enrolled at the Tele-education Faculty of Sukchon University of Agriculture.
They were different in age and career, but they learned hard being conscious that they could not take the lead in farming without knowledge in the new era of rural development and turn their native land into a paradise better to live in, and thus they received notices of enrollment.
That day, many people extended congratulations to the farmers who became students and the whole farm became enlivened like on a holiday.
At the meeting an old person, stroking the notice of the university’s admission several times, was moved to tears saying that a university student was produced at a farmer’s family and a young farmer told that he would become an active reader of the agricultural science and technology dissemination room to be a university student.
The congratulatory meeting made the people keenly feel once again the gratitude and valuableness of our socialist system which provides all conditions and environment for everyone to learn to his heart’s content and bring about a full bloom of hope.
Album of a Hero’s Family
A few days ago, Jong Chun Ok, a woman living in Sinsang-dong, Tonghungsan District, Hamhung City, was seeing an album with a broad smile on her face.
Included in the album were kind persons who formed friendship with her family.
They were officials and working people who had paid close attention to her family since her son fell heroically in the discharge of military duty 10-odd years ago.
And her husband died of illness not long ago, but she felt never lonely thanks to the warm love and affection of the grateful people.
After a while, she could not take her eyes off a photo taken with a woman on V-day this year.
With the approach of V-day, Jong got serious ill.
At that time Hwang Ok Hwa, a woman living in Kuhung-dong, the same district with Jong, visited her and nursed her for several days.
In the past period, Hwang, who has done a lot of good things for the society and collective, knew such fact that a mother of a hero of the DPRK was living in the same district and frequented her house.
Saying that we, women, have to learn after the mother of hero of the DPRK, Hwang visited her house to bring her laugh and took warm care of her lest she feel inconvenience in life.
And Hwang had a significant photo taken with Jong on the morning of V-day.
Whenever opening the photo album telling such stories, Jong felt great pride of living in the socialist system where everyone becomes one family.

Several years ago Jon was hospitalized in the institute due to an unexpected illness. Even her family lost their strength for her condition in critical state.
But medical workers devoted themselves to her.

Afterwards, their sincerity got warmer and warmer.
And they gave her materials of tonics and nutrient foodstuffs.
Even after she was discharged from the institute, the medical workers often phoned Jon to learn about her condition and sent her necessary medicines.

News from Hometown Kept in Mind of Shock Brigade Member
Some days ago, Pak Ho Bom, a member of the Taedonggang District Battalion under the Pyongyang Municipal Regiment of Party Members who volunteered to work at the rehabilitation project site in Jagang Province, received a message from his mother.
The message said that persons of Pak’s station visited his mother again the day before and that day, too, members of the neighborhood unit were envious of her having many children.
Reading the message, Pak was moved to tears.
When Pak, a worker of the Taedonggang District Floriculture Station, volunteered to work at the restoration project site in Jagang Province, he was anxious about his mother suffering from a lingering disease.
But his mother saw off her son without hesitation.
So Pak was worried about such matters.
Since Pak left for the province, officials of the station have visited his house frequently lest his family members should feel the lack of firewood and non-staple foodstuff, brought the medicines necessary for the treatment of his mother.
Reflected in the news from hometown he received was a vivid picture of our society sharing joy and sorrow while helping and leading each other forward.
