Impression Educators Received

Several months ago some people visited the schools in Kangdong County. They were skilled workers of the Pyongyang Municipal Clothing Industry Management Bureau.

Greeting them, the teachers of the schools were deeply impressed.

Because the skilled workers tailed new suits for teachers and brought them.

Looking at them, the teachers keenly felt their sincerity for educators.

Looking at teachers in new suits, the skilled workers were filled with pride of having performed a worthwhile deed for educators our Party values and gives prominence to.

Through their figures the beautiful trait unique to our socialist society in which the educators are treated preferentially can be seen.

Story about Sanatorium Ticket

Early last October, Choe Nam Chol, a worker of calcination workshop of the Tanchon Smeltery, was on his way home when somebody hurriedly called him from behind.

Choe looked back.

An official of the workshop approached Choe with a smile on his face and handed over a sanatorium ticket to him.

Choe got bewildered as he thought he didn’t deserve the ticket as he hadn’t worked at the smeltery for long and had done nothing laudable for the smeltery.

He declined the ticket saying that there were veteran skilled workers and that he couldn’t leave the worksite when everyone was busy with the implementation of the decisions of the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee.

Then the official told Choe that he had been informed from the head of the work-team that Choe suffered from backache and that every member of the work-team had agreed to send him for recuperation.

Choe felt a lump in his throat out of gratitude toward the comrades for their sincerity.

A few days later, Choe set off for the sanatorium.

Now, after tens of days of medical treatment, he is distinguishing himself in his work.

This fact alone shows the advantages of our system which takes responsibility for and care of the workers’ health and genuine features of our society where the climate of caring for each other prevails.

Harmonious Neighborhood Unit

A few days ago, Jang Pok Sil, head of the neighborhood unit No. 39 of Jungdok-dong, Phyongsong City, and other people visited a house in their neighborhood unit.

They had brought with them various special dishes after hearing that Om Tuk Sang, the hostess of the house, got ill.

Looking at the neighbors, Om was wrapped in emotion.

Jang told Om, weeping tears of excitement, that they were members of one family.

This is an ordinary story so common in any other neighborhood unit.

But this single story bears testimony to the beautiful features of our people living in a large harmonious family.

It is the noble ethics of socialist system we live in to respect and help each other and take good care of the sick, the troubled and those in difficulties.
