Regarding Party Spirit as Lifeblood

 

Kim Yong Do, secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, said that it is of the biggest importance to possess a high degree of loyalty to the Party in embodying and applying the Party’s original ideals and spirit to the letter.

He continued that they would work with it as the starting point and fundamental principle of thinking and action to thoroughly defend the dignity and prestige of the Party.

We will establish a strong discipline and order of making a serious survey of all affairs and organizing and executing them in a meticulous way with priority given to ensuring the prestige of the Party, he stressed.

Han Kyong Jin, a department director of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, expressed his determination as follows:

The viewpoint of and attitude to the Party’s lines and policies and the political awareness and sensibility cherished by the revolutionaries of the first generation are a model which must be learned after by the officials.

We will model ourselves on their noble spirit and indomitable fighting mettle and prepare ourselves into staunch fighters who carry out the Party’s policies without an inch of deflection even in manifold trials and hardship.

We will design our work and find solutions to problems based on the correct understanding of the intentions of the Party Central Committee and do our best to execute the Party’s decisions to the letter.

 

With Thoroughgoing Revolutionary Spirit

 

Pae Song Guk, chief secretary of the Party Committee of the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex, stated his will to make stricter demands in order for all officials in the complex to make redoubled efforts for the implementation of the Party’s decisions with high revolutionary spirit, remembering the intention of the Party which set forth the revolutionary spirit of the Party-founder generation as the essential temperament to be possessed of by the officials.

Yun Song Chol, chief engineer of the Sangwon Cement Complex, said as follows:

As is shown by the life of numerous loyalists who have propelled the cause of the Party till today since the period of the Party founding, a fighter who devotes himself to the sacred cause for the country and people, overcoming difficulties with faith and optimism, is a genuine revolutionary.

I will devote myself in the van of the ranks advancing full of high zeal for revolution and struggle while more dynamically organizing and controlling production.

 

To Be Faithful Servants of People

 

Pak Song Su, chief secretary of the Hochon County Party Committee, said that the county Party committee would educate the officials of the county to carry forward in a pure, thoroughgoing and perfect way the spirit and mettle of the Party-founder generation who inscribed in the sacred red Party flag their lofty ideals for building a new country whose masters are the people, as well as their faith and will to sacrifice themselves without hesitation for the sake of their fellow people.

It will let them cherish the spirit of devoted service as their essential temperament and principle of life by constantly awakening and controlling them lest they would deviate from the correct viewpoint of and attitude toward the people, he said and continued:

I will become a faithful servant of the people true to the intention of the Party Central Committee for chief secretaries of the city and county Party committees to become standard-bearers and models in embodying the people-first politics.

Jong Won Ju, chairman of the Kumgang County People’s Committee, expressed his will to find new jobs for the good of the people and devote his wisdom and passion to solving the problems whose settlement is desired by the people, mindful of the trust and expectations of the Party and people reflected in the office of the chairman of the people’s committee.

He noted that he would take active measures to further improve the people’s material and cultural life, thereby fully discharging his duty as a faithful servant of the people.
