Officials and working people in Samjiyon City have brought about rich harvest in potato farming this year.

True to the policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea on bringing about a radical turn in potato farming, all the farms in the city registered higher yields than last year and in particular, the youth sub-workteam of the Junghung Farm produced 50-odd tons of potatoes per hectare to the maximum.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un had given field guidance at the Junghung Farm in then Samjiyon County a few years before to give detailed instructions on the practical issues arising in raising potato farming to a higher scientific level. And he had taken measures to do potato farming well and this year he sent the efficient tractors to the farm.

The officials in the city have aroused the masses to implementing the Party’s policy related to the potato farming while paying special attention to the work for heightening the sci-tech farming zeal.

A good potato harvest has been witnessed on every field amid the growing enthusiasm for the scientific farming among the farmers, .

The Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory is processing a large amount of potatoes every day on the basis of its full preparations for production.
