Technology for Compound Potassic Fertilizer Production with Our Raw Materials Newly Established

The State Academy of Sciences has newly established the technology for producing compound potassic fertilizer with raw materials abundant in our country.

This is a technology of great utility which enables the production of potassic and silicon fertilizer with the potassic feldspar as the main starting raw material.

Under the guidance of the Party Committee, the leading officials directly organized an able cooperative research force comprising ten-odd research institutions and units and buckled down to the development of new technology.

The officials and scientists arranged the conditions for research on their own, intensified the survey and analysis of the preceding literature and conclude in a short span of time the vast test research by pooling wisdom and efforts.

After that, they established a test process for the establishment of the compound potassic fertilizer production technology in a region with favorable conditions for both securing raw materials and introducing the technology and started the work for defining the industrialization indices and economic effectiveness.

The officials, scientists, designers and workers, who have turned out with preparedness to repay the great trust of the Party, completed the construction of enormous volume and the manufacture of equipment and apparatuses of far more than one hundred pieces of tens of kinds in close cooperation with the relevant sectors under the detailed operation and control of the leading officials.

Consequently, the fertilizer production process was established on trial within six months, its test-run succeeded at the first go-off late in September last year and the trial products were turned out.

In the period of a little over one year, the academy produced one thousand and hundreds of tons of compound potassic fertilizer to contribute to the farming at various farms in South Hwanghae Province including the area in and around the Yonbaek Plain.

In this course, it verified the economic effectiveness of compound potassic fertilizer production with the new technology and mainly defined the major technical and economic indices for industrialization.

At the moment, the State Academy of Sciences further intensifies the work for completely defining the technical indices for industrialization while normalizing the fertilizer production by utilizing the existing process.
