On Basis of Scientific Plan and Practice

Officials and working people in North Hwanghae Province have worked out a scientific plan for river improvement and made strenuous efforts to carry it out.

The officials in the province have put efforts into ensuring the scientific accuracy from design and, on this basis, conducting operations and commanding work in a scrupulous manner.

In particular, the province paid deep attention to a dike project on the shores of the Rimjin River flowing along the Pukpho-ri area of Thosan County. The province gave precedence to the design after scientifically taking into account the pressure of water according to flux and the speed of a current as well as the maximum of water level.

Under the scientific operation of the province, Thosan County has finished the huge project ahead of schedule by raising the operation rate of heavy machines and enlisting the mental power of the masses.

As a result, it made it possible to stabilize the living of the people in the surrounding area, do farming safely and secure 10 hectares of new land. The county, not content with this success, is pushing ahead with the project for improving rivers planned for this year.

Similar successes are being made in other cities and counties. 

Millions of Trees Planted in North Hamgyong Province

Officials and working people in North Hamgyong Province, with the will to turn all mountains in the province into gold and treasure mountains thickly covered with forests, planted millions of good species of trees until now since the autumn tree planting and have expanded their successes.

The officials of the province are conducting operation and command for tree planting, deeply aware of their responsibility.

The province supervised in detail the daily tree-planting plan of cities and counties to review it in a substantial way.

And it is paying deep attention to planting trees as required by science and technology while making a high demand on tree nurseries to supply the saplings.

The officials and working people in the cities and counties devote their patriotic efforts to making the mountains of the country greener.

Onsong County properly selected species of trees on the principle of planting the right trees on the right soil and pushed ahead with tree planting in a mass movement to complete the autumn tree planting.

Kyongwon County has made successes in tree planting while strictly observing technical requirements in the work for every process.

Kyonghung County and other regions, too, set the exemplary units in transporting the saplings and planting and generalizing good experiences, expanding successes.

Road Technical Improvement Actively Promoted 

Paechon County promotes the technical improvement of roads in a substantial way after setting high target.

Officials in the county vigorously push ahead with the work of face-lifting the appearances of roads in the county while promoting the technical improvement of major road.

The county repaired several ducts on the road and installed safety protection wall in 15 places.

Especially the county put forward the repair of the bridge at the border with Yonan County.

The officials provided the materials for repair of bridge without hindrance to ensure the bridge construction was promoted as scheduled.

Thanks to the efforts of officials and working people the bridge construction is brisk at its final stage.

The county also pays special attention to ensuring flatness and safety of roads on hills.
