Ryanggang Province built new seed processing bases in hearty response to the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea to regard the seed problem as an important link in the agricultural field and pay primary attention to solving the seed problem.

The bases have seed storage room, coating and drying room and facilities including sorter, drier and others.

The province organized the project in a scrupulous way to thoroughly meet the technical requirements in connection with the construction of the seed processing bases.

Officials and working people in the province have devoted their wisdom and enthusiasm to the construction of seed processing bases, bearing in mind the importance of solving the seed problem in increasing agricultural production. They propelled the construction of seed processing bases by increasing the proportion of locally available building materials.

According to a plan made by the province, the work was also waged in a three-dimensional way to equip the bases with ample facilities.

As a result, seed processing bases were built in different parts of the province in a short span of time.

The establishment of processing bases provided a guarantee for supplying the province’s farms with seeds which were processed through various progresses.
